Population is at 90 million. 60% of the population don’t have access to clean, safe drinking water or sanitation. That’s 54 MILLION people.

In rural community areas, water supply comes from hand dug wells and rivers.

Making safe the well and river water is the main issue in Vietnam, along with providing effective sanitation and improving hygiene habits.Water born diseases are very prevalent. Diseases such as Cholera, Typhoid, Dysentery, Bacterial Diarrhoea and Hepatitis A.

In northern areas of Vietnam, arsenic contamination is affecting around 7 MILLION inhabitants. Arsenic causes cancer, neurological problems and skin problems.Due to Vietnam becoming a manufacturing hub in south East Asia, pollution and contamination from industry and agriculture are becoming far more widespread.
